A PERSONAL NOTE
I was raised in a house with an alcoholic father who was physically and verbally abusive and a manipulative mother. My sister died when I was 6 years old and she was 2.5 years old. I was always told that I was not good enough while growing up by my father. When I turned 28 years old, I became a paramedic. I worked as a paramedic for 13 years, and suffered from PTSD which added to my existing anxiety.
I created this guidebook to give people some easy steps, and some information around anxiety and how to treat it. When I suffered from anxiety and PTSD, I could not find much information on techniques that I could use at home.
This guidebook can help people to release anxiety and begin to feel more confident. I, like a lot of other people, did not want to go and have appointments with a talk therapist. It just made me feel uncomfortable and frustrated.
